Brandon Strickland, JD

Brandon Strickland, JD, joined Georgia Tech on June 16 2025, as the Associate Vice President for Research Administration.

An engineer and attorney by training, Brandon brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as executive director of the Office of Research Administration at the University of Miami, where he managed a dynamic research enterprise with an annual portfolio of more than $700 million in expenditures. His expertise in streamlining research administration processes, providing strong service to faculty, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations are invaluable to Georgia Tech.

Strickland oversees all operations of research administration and sponsored programs, identifying sponsored research opportunities to grow the Georgia Tech research enterprise. He also helps to ensure Georgia Tech stays in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. Strickland also provides thought leadership and guidance to all Institute research administration matters, ensuring Georgia Tech remains a top-tier research university.
